PROCEEDING IS EVERYBODY’S BUSINESS – Editorial Statement for Procedures 01

Alan Prohm – Editor Issue 01 and 01+

The Procedures Journal publishes work exploring topics of procedural architecture, the architectural body, biotopology, landing site theory, and related practices and sciences. It is our hope to seed and cross-fertilize ongoing activations by fellow puzzle creatures in the spirit of Arakawa and Gins, motivated commonly by a crisis ethics to achieve reversible destiny.

Procedures Journal intends to publish 4 issues this year at: proceduresjournal.com. Work published in the online-only blog journal may reappear later in a book-length print publication.

The initial call for submissions was made in conjunction with The Proceeding Procedure event, June 4-7, 2014, Brooklyn NY – a four day symposium commemorating Madeline Gins and sampling a broad momentum of ongoing activations in the spirit of Arakawa and Gins.

Issue editor: Alan Prohm (Berlin)

Board: (at launch) Alan Prohm, Jondi Keane, Erin Manning

Advisors: Joke Post, Momoyo Homma, Leopold Lambert
